Please help, this might be a dumb questions but. I have just bought office xp
with outlook and I am about to install exchange, do I need to to get a client
access license for all my clients or is the cal in the outlook I bought?

Iknow when we was installing exchange 2003. The client cal is included when
you by exchange 2003. If you have bought 150 server cals you have 150 outlook
2003 cal.

Licensing can be somewhat complex depending on your environment.  Example,
do you Open License, Open Value, etc.  Based on what you have posted
purchasing Office suite does not give you a CAL for Exchange.  You must
purchase a separate Exchange CAL, User or Device.  Now if you have Small
Business Server then your SBS CAL includes your Exchange CAL.
