Hiwa
Hi ..
We have 2 Exchange 2003 servers that process our intern e-mail and one
of them is connected by a SMTP-connector to a MailSweeper
(MIME-Sweeper) for external (internett) e-mail. The problem is that
some (external) e-mail just disappear on their way to some users in our
organization!!! Well .. At least I don't know what happens to them.
We have an IMF-filter on the Exchange server.
The messages come through our MailSweeper to the Exchange server.
When I track the messages I can see that they are delevered but not
like other external e-mail sent to us only three thing happen to the
e-mail.
1) SMTP: Message Submitted to Advanced Queuing
2) SMTP: started Message Submission to Advanced Queue
3) SMTP: Message Submitted to Categorizer.

It stopps there, unlike other messages that keeps on being processed:
SMTP: Message Categorized and Queued for Routing
SMTP: Message Queued for local Delivery
SMTP: MEssage Delivered Locally to <Recipient>
SMTP: Store Driver: ....

So the Exchange queues are empty, nothing to find in the IMF-filter ..

I would appriciate any suggestion.

Have you tried the ESM under TOOLS/Message Tracking Center. I know this is
long shot, but I have looked for messages before and they went through the
tracking center so I know they were delivered. Found out the user changed his
delivery to a PF and he had closed it so he didn't even know they were being
delivered. This may not help, sorry.

Hiwa
Tanks for your reply, David, but I think I've found out what the
problem has been. It is the ScanMail that belongs to TREND (antivirus
program) we use for virus scan on our two Exchange servers. I stopped
the three services and woops the e-mails were allowed to come through.
