Winmail.dat received instead of proper attachmentCould Exchange 2007 be forcing all emails to use the winmail.dat format?
I'm having problems with non Outlook users receiving winmail.dat instead of the actual attachment. I've tried the following steps in Outlook 2007. Set the email format to HTML on the Mail Format Tab and set the attachment format to mime instead of auto on the individual message. None of these have any effect, so I'm wondering if our Exchange Server 2007 could be doing something to force email to use winmail.dat for attachments. Is that possible? Help or hints in this regard would be wonderful. Thanks! Meigs wrote:
