Security problem with "Remember my Password"

Once I have checked (ticked) the box "Remember my Password" I cannot reverse
this process. Even when I click on "Forget Me" (to delete my login ID and
password) and then Sign In afresh asking Exchange or Windows Live to remember
JUST my Email address (and not my password), every time I open up Exchange or
Windows Live etc, it opens up directly into my email inbox WITHOUT me
entering my password!
As I now have a shared computer, this means that any of my student flatmates
can read or use my student Exchange email. It is very difficult for me to
change my Exchange password with my academic institution each time this
problem occurs as I physically have to go to the university IT office to
change the password.
