Backing up an Exchange 2007 VM (VMware)What strategies is everyone using to backup their Exch2007 VMs so that the
transaction logs flush correctly? I'm running BackupExec 12.5 on my Virtual Center server that is not part of the domain nor on the same subnet as the Exchange server will be. Symantec's suggestion was to use the VSS Provider, but that looks sketchy to me. Wondering what you guys are doing. Cheers Greg I would treat it the same way as a physical server and run the backups on
that server. Rather than from inside of VC, I would run BE on the Exchange server. the VMDK? How messy would a restore be? Good Morning Martin
Yes, we have a SAN. Sounds like I'm on the right track, I just wanted to see what others were doing.
