exchange2k7 sp1 replicationWe have 2 hub transport servers and 2 mail box servers with CCR.
When the consultant created exchange server, he selected virual server so we only can see Exchange as a mailbox server and cannot see which one we are on either exchangeA or ExchangeB (One mailbox is active and one passive mode. )Where can I check which mailbox server our all mailboxes sit? What is the order to reboot the two mailboxes? If I reboot exchangeA, it will automatically fail over to B? If I reboot B, it will automatically fail to A? You need to learn how to manage clusters.
The mailboxes sit on both. One is the active node, and you can see which one that is using Get-ClusteredMailboxServerStatus. But your Outlook clients connect to the clustered mailbox server name, not the individual node name. So it's just best if you think of the cluster as one server. Reboot the passive node. If you need to reboot the active node, fail over the server (Move-ClusteredMailboxServer) and then when the active node has become the passive node, you can reboot it. -- Show quoteHide quoteEd Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." .. For the windows cluster administration, use Cluadmin.exe or the Cluster command line switches.
