I have Exchange 2003 server which is part of a multisite network.  Iphones
can verify with the serverwhen setting up the account but I get an error in
the event log when they try sync with exchange.  There are 3 exchange server
in the network.

All service packs have been applied.
The error is: HTTP status code: [501]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox
Server is working correctly.

I posted this question in "connectivity" but didn't receive any answers.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

I think this means that it is getting a '501 - Not Implemented' response
from IIS when it tries to access your Exchange Virtual Directory.  Is your
Outlook Web Access working okay?  Try going to http://servername/exchange on
your mailbox server.  ActiveSync relies on that working properly.
