My users are being prompted for their credentials a second (and more) time
when attempting to open attachments in OWA.

Exchange 2003 Standard
SP 2
System is fully updated

Users are reporting this probelm with IE but not with Mozilla as thier
browser.\\

Did this just start?
Are you using ISA? How about a FE/BE config?

Single server implementation.  I am not currently offering or supporting
external access except via IMAP or the browser interface (no RPC over HTTP.)
Once you log in to the web interface, you can open as many messages, tasks,
contacts, events, . . . as you like.  As soon as you try to open a document
attached to an e-mail, the username/PW screen pops back up.

It has been a constant, however we have had a recent organizational change
and a couple of newer Board members are now using our corporate e-mail
system instead of a personal account for thier elected responsibilities, so
it has been politically elevated from an annoyance to an issue.

If it helps figure out a solution, at my own outside desktop, it only seems
to be MS Office attachments.  I use Foxit Reader and PDFs open right up in a
new Browser.  If I am at a system with just Adobe I am forced to save the
file before opening.  For Office (.doc, .xls) I am prompted to Open, Save,
or Cancel, THEN credentials are requested again.

Hi,

When you mentioned it works it FF but not IE, did you use SSL for OWA?

If you do, ensure certificate is trusted.

Tan.
