Groupwise to Excahnge MigrationI am doing a Groupwise 6 to Exchange 2003 migration of about 35 mailboxes. The Gateway is working and I can send mail to both systems fine. I did a test migration and it worked great. We will be retiring groupwise after the migration is over. The question is what is the next step to get the Internet mail working for the Exchange side. I know I will need to tell the Exchange server to accept mail for @groupwise_domain.com in recipient policy, and then the smtp addresses will be generated for this domain. The question is, if I move the MX record to the Exchange server and accept mail for @groupwise_domain.com will the mail get to the groupwise users have not been migrated? For the test user I migrated he now has two entries int he Groupwise address book, one for the original and one for Exchange. Thanks in advance for the answer. Mark Mark A. Are the users accessing GW through Outlook already? But an hour for a mailbox sounds like a lot.> <lanwe***@heybuddy.donotsendme.unsolicitedmailatyahoo.com> wrote: > >> Mark A. How big is the mailbox? What network speed? etc. If you want to do this in stages, flip the mail delivery to Exchange, and have the "unmigrated" users access their Exchange mailboxes via OWA while keeping GW open for older items. > You can access GW in Outlook, you know.
