Hi,

Follow John Olivers advice and use dnsstuff.com to check your MX and mail
server response. I asked for your domain as it's easier usually to tell what
the problem is just by a simply mx dig and then telnet session.

Ultimately you must ensure:

1) MX are setup correctly
2) Domain is in Accepted Domains list
3) If pointing to a specific Recieve Connector ensure Anonymous is checked.
4) Ensure you have an EAP (email address policy) or have a test email
address of the domain on a user

When you telnet to mail.xyz.com 25 do you get a response?  I would also
verify your MX Record is answering correctly, you can use www.dnsstuff.com
to test.  If you need further assistance please provide the domain in
question.
