Hello.

Can FBA be used for OWA 2007 if we use the same url for EAS?

We used FBA with we were on OWA 2003 but we did not have EAS then.  In FBA
for OWA 2003, there is a choice of "Private Computer" or "Public Computer".
Is this available in FBA for OWA 2007?

Thanks in advance.

Yes and yes. You can also force OWA Lite with a checkbox on the FBA login
screen.

FBA doesn't affect EAS correct.

THere was some special stuff you needed to do in 2003 however if you
didnt have a FE/BE config in order to make FBA and AS/OMA happy and
work together.

Yeah good point

If using EAS through a CAS but the mailbox is on a 2003 Exchange Server you
must have integrated auth enabled on the Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync virtual
directory on the legacy Mailbox Server/s.

good point. and this requires a patch. In our first cutover to CAS,
everything worked except for backwards compatibility with Activesync so all
the phones stopped syncing. Good thing it was very easy to revert back to
FE/BE 2003 config. After the Exchange 2003 patch and the permission change
on the virtual dir, everything worked fine. I only wish that SAN certs would
work with ISA 2004 but that's a battle for another day.
