Pictures not showing up in email

We have a html mail coming from an external client. The mail contains both
red X crosses as well as images which are not getting displayed(with just
blank boxes, these are different from the red x crosses).

When I right click on the red x crosses and download pictures, the pictures
show up for the x crosses, but the blank images are still blank. The same
happens in OWA too. But, the weird thing is, when the client sends the same
mail to a hotmail/gmail account, it appears fine after clicking link to
download pictures. No changes were made to IE settings for the mail to be
displayed properly in hotmail/gmail.

Why will Outlook 2003 and OWA have problems and please let me know any
possible things which can be tried?

We are using Exchange 2007 SP1 and Websense Hosted Email Security
(MailControl) as our spam filtering software.

I'm sorry, I lost track of this thread...late reply. Can you try bypassing
Websense as a test?

Thanks for the help.
It was the html filter which was causing it.
We got it fixed after speaking to Websense.

Great, glad it's working.
