Hide domain from email address

We have a client that are a holding company for contactor and clients.  What
they would like to do is send emails on behalf of the clients from an email
address of "holdingcomp***@domain.com", but hide the "@domain.com" from the
email on the from field, so that the contractors will not know that it is
coming from the third party company.

We know that the headers will  contain the correct email addresses, but that
is not a problem.

Is there any way to do this.  They are using Exchange 2007.

They can use Send As on an account that has this email address, or they if
they have an Edge Server they can re-write the address there.

Setting a Display Name should also remove the email address and just show
the name, for example in this scenario 'Holding Company'

Thanks for replying.  When you say setting display name, you mean in the
exchange management console?  Doesn't this still show the full email address
in brackets after the display name?  It is the email address in the brackets
that they do not want to show.

Hi,

In that case either use Send As and send as an account with the correct SMTP
Domain, or if you have an Edge Server, re-write the address there.
