I have a problem I just cannot get over and maybe someone can help me out.  I
know it is a Windows Forum however....
I have a customer which all users running MS OS without one user who is
using Mac and the latest version of Entourage.  I am just not able to connect
it to the Exchange server, either local or remote.  I have opened all the
ports on Exchange, I assume, but still not luck.
I thought it is all straight forward, Name, E-Mail address, Password same a
the AD User, Domain, but I believe it get stuck on the Exchange server.  When
I try to connect it says all the time cannot connect to ....
I maybe have to mention that the email is abc.com, however, the exchange on
the windows pc's is example.abc.local.  Example is the Exchange server name
(Machine Name)  Also if I use owa the address is https://example/exchange

The reason for that, when I purchased a certificate I made a mistake and
registered the machine name rather then the domain name, nevertheless it is
working fine with all other PC's just the Mac has a problem.

Has someone any idea why I cannot connect to Exchange by mac?

Really appreciate all help as this is going on now for about two months
alreday.

Thank you in advance.

I think your SSL cert is going to need to be redone.....

I saw a post about this recently - it said you have to use /exchangeinstead
of /owa for Entourage to work.

Hi there,

Thanks a lot for your reply and assistance.  The recent post was sure from
me as I have a problem with this issue a long time.  What you are saying that
I need to change the certificatem, purchase a new one, for Outlook anywhere
to the actual domain name abc.com and not example.abc.com, correct?
Another issue is why can I not connect to Exchange when I am on the LAN?

Sorry beeing a bit difficult but I don't understand when you say:
I saw a post about this recently - it said you have to use /exchangeinstead
of /owa for Entourage to work. Can I only use OWA

Thanks

I don't know how your certificate is set up now. Maybe I misunderstood your
original post. E2007 cert info here:

Can *outlook* users connect? Can Outlook Anywhere clients connect?

I don't know for sure; I don't have any Entourage users w/E2007 yet.
Entourage may do things its own way. You would probably need to check in an
Entourage group.

Thanks for reply again.  All Outlook users can connect no problem on either
way, LAN, OWA, Outlook anywhere.

Cool.

I would definitely try m.p.mac.office.entourage if you've got Entourage
questions. I don't use it much myself and haven't yet seen it in action with
E2007,
