Exchange 2003 Public Folder Migrationfrom one exchange 2003 (SBS) server to Exchange 2003 Standard server. I have gone through all of the processes to get the new exchange server into the environment and currently it is our email server, however , I still have public folders living on the old SBS machine and they work fine right now. Our plan is to remove the 2003 SBS server from the environment, rebuild it and use it as a DC. Right now, all the original public folders show that they are in sync and when I right click on the old server i have a choice to "Move All Replica's". My question is, will this work if I choose to move them, will all of the folders come over including the necessary system folders? Also, what is the next step? I thought I read somewhere that I need to re-home the folders so the environment knows where the public folder store now lives. Can someone guide me through this last piece? Thanks in advance for your help. Scott

through it, but all it says at the end of the replication/in-sync step is to remove the replica's from the source server. Is that the same as moving? Do I remove instead of move? After you have confirmed that replication is complete for each folder, you must turn off replication for each public folder. To do this, follow these steps: Expand Public Folders, right-click a top-level public folder, and then click Properties. Click the Replication tab. In the Replicate content to these public stores section, click the name of the public folder store that is on the source server, click Remove, click Apply, and then click OK.
