Automaticly confirm reading in OWA

Hi,

we have an active GPO which automaticly sends reading confirmations when
an internal email is read. This works fine with outlook and our pda's,
but when a user is connected by outlook web access he is asked if he
wants to send a confirmation. Is there a way to activate the automatic
reading-confirmation in OWA, too?

Thanks for your help.

Not that I know of, but you should always post your version and SP level of
Exchange (etc) when in here, as answers vary by version.
Nothing personal but I have to say that requesting a read receipt for every
message sounds kind of...well, *insane* to me. You know it doesn't mean
anything, right? You aren't proving the user *read*  the message. If you
need to know whether someone read a message you sent them, find out whether
they did the thing you asked them to do in the message.

Do they realize how much additional useless mail traffic this causes? Sigh.

OK. Someone else may chime in, but I'd guess this is just how it works.
