Mail Enabled Public Folder Message TrackingWe are running Exch 2003 SP2, FE/BE configuration. We have mail enabled public folders that receive internal and external mail properly. Strangely enough, when I try to track the messages, only the internal messages show in the results. Is this normal? Are the messages that show in the results there because Exchange tracked it from the internal users side instead? The real reason I am trying to track the messages is that it appears that external mail to these folders seem a little more delayed that to regular mailboxes - if i send a message to both a single user and the public folder - it arrives immediately in the single user's box and about 8 mins later arrives in the public folder, but with the same time stamp as the single user's email.. Thanks in advance!!!!! Public Folder (PF) replication is appx 10 min by default.
If the message is being delivered to a different PF store it can take up to 10 minutes to see the replication to the other PF store. If this is the case, and you have a need to see it immediately, then you can turn up the replication on that PF to IMMEDIATE instead of default. Is that setting in a different location than the Replication tab of the PF in question? On that tab, we have it set to "Always Run" and the calendar is "always".. Do you happen to have any insight into the message tracking as well? Thanks again.
