full backup is not flushing the logshi, i have exchange 2003 with single storage group and mailbox store (the
default one), i did a full backup twice and i was suprised that the transaction logs are not deleted from the store ,i want to free disk space till i get a big hard disk, the transaction logs took much space , i don't want to use the circular logging.i'm just wondering why the full backup not deleting the logs.any suggesions for deleting the transacion logs? thanks Are you backing up the Information Store object as opposed to files? Does an ESE* event state the Logs are being truncated due to a full backup? You must back up all databases in a Storage Group for the Logs for that SG to be truncated.
