Outlook Auto Complete Cache Data from exchange 2003.Hi.
Have renamed some user accounts here and have made sure all the Alias, Display Name, X400 data etc matches the new name. Outlook shows the username in its autocomplete cache data as NewFirst Name NewSurname <OldFirstNameOldSurname> Even when deleteing the particular entry in the cache and then sending a new mail to the user the newly created entry in the cache still has the notation in the <> referencing the old name. What data on the mailbox is outlook picking the <name> from ?? IS there a way of changing this on the server mailbox ? thanks for any replies . Address Auto-Resolution vs. Auto-Complete

Depending on the version of Outlook: - Select the Address Book from the Tool Bar - Select TOOLS from the Address Book Menu - Select OPTIONS... Check the "When sending mail, check names using these address lists in the following order:". Is it set to the GLOBAL ADDRESS LIST first? CONTACTS. If they did, it may still be picking up the old info. Be sure to have them DELETE them from their contacts if they are there. I dont think that will help as. If I delete the cached entry from my outlook cache. and then send an email to this person. The newly remember entry for the recipient in the cache is still Firstname Lastname <OLDFirstNameOLDLastname> Any further thoughts ? Im assuming the local outlook cache is checking the names from the GAL, if so what item is the <oldname> data being got from ?
