Hi

My provider tells me that my Exchange2003 does a lot of connection
resets, as a reason for his backup to take over. In which log can I
check this?

Thanks
Franz

What do you mean by your provider and what do you mean by backup? I don't
follow this, sorry.

... let me explain in more details:

We have SBS2003 R2. Because of a lot of NDR SPAM lately, all coming in
from/via the MX Backup Server of our provider, I called him about this.
Upon this he told me that our Exchange seems to have a lot of connection
resets and mail is routed through the MX Backup queue.

However, our Server runs 24/7 perfect as does our xDSL .... so I wanted
to check if the Exchange really logs some event.

Hope this is clearer now.

Thanks
Franz

If your server is too busy to accept connections & your senders end up going
through the servers at higher-cost MX records, I'm not sure this gets logged
anywhere

You might be a good candidate for a hosted antispam service such as Postini
or MailFoundry or MXLogix or MessageLabs.
