Exchg 2007 Mgmt Tools on 2000 ServerI have an aging backup server, that is still running Window 2000 Server. I
plan to replace the box or reinstall a new OS 2003; however, I can do that yet. My backup software says I have to have Exchg 2007 Mgmt Tools installed on the backup server so it can see the Information Store. Can I install Exchg 2007 Mgmt Tools on a 2000 server? The 2000 box is 32 bit not 64bit. This will buy me some time until I can get teh backup solution I want. Supported OS's, Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-Bit x86); Windows Server 2003

Just get an XP workstation, stick Virtual PC on it and install W2K3/8 and the 2007 management tools in that. The backup software is installed and works fine. Exchg 2007 Mgmt Tools not
being spec'ed for the 2000 server is my only hold up. In my initial post I misstated that I could do a fresh OS install on my backup server now. I am working to that end, but my current install still has a couple of roles that I haven't offloaded yet. If it is at all possible, even if not recommended I would like to install the Exchg 2007 Mgmt Tools on this 2000 Server. Are there recommendations you might have regarding the best way to install the 07 Mgmt Tools that would mess up the 2000 OS?
