Exchange Server 2003 not recieving emailI currently do not have the resources to change this etup I need to know if it will work this way. I have one server configured with the following: Windows Server 2003 Standard w/ SP1 Active Directory: Single Domain Controller DHCP DNS ISA Server 2004 w/ SP1 Exchange Server 2004 RPC Proxy server (For RPC via HTTP) I have configured the server with <mydomain>.local and pointed the mx record to the public IP address for the server as <mydomain>.net Exchange has been installed and configured for <mydomain>.net I can access the server via OWA and through OUtlook when I am on the local network. I am having trouble installing the certificate to enable Outlook via RPC over HTTP. I can send messages to internal and external domains they are recieved by all. I am unable to send anything from outside domains to the Exchange server. Does anyone have any ides? Is it possible to configure all on a single server? I am very new to this, any help will be greatly appreciated. Please tell me if there is any more information that will help to better understand the situation. TIA: JC Do you have a router sitting between your server and the internet? If so,
have you forwarded port 25 to your server's ip address? Lardy. This server has 3 NIC's
One with a public IP Address connected directly to the internet (No Router). The other two NIC's have Private IP's. One is for the internal network and the other is going to be used as a DMZ sometime soon. I have setup the ISA server to allow Port 25 inbound and outbound. I think I found the problem though... The MX record was somehow corrupted. It had somehow appended the domain name to the end of the host name twice. I have talked with Tech support for my domain and they are changing the MX record. I will try again when the MX record has been updated to see if that was the issue. Show quote "Lardy" wrote: > Do you have a router sitting between your server and the internet? The MX record did not solve the problem.
When MX [10] is pointing to my server and MX [20] is pointing to the ISP. Nobody gets the messages. If MX [10] is pointing to the ISP then I can pop in and retrieve the messages. Any additional suggestions? TIA: JC All in one server won't be successful. I have seen many MS article saying not
have DHCP and ISA on the same server. Try to have separate server. Show quote "JC The PC Guy" wrote: > Well...
