Change GroupingGood Day Board,
Here's my situation. I created some distribution lists/security groupings initially before realizing that I could just create a security grouping that could also be used as an Exchange distribution list. For example, I have a department called Administration, I created a DL called Administration-DL, and a security grouping called Administration. Now I would like to change out all the distribution lists and create only security groupings. Is there any particular way of doing this? Will I run into an problems if I just delete the DL and recreate security groupings with the same names? Any suggestions? Shouldn't be any issues other than AD replication times....just delete the
old one first, and then create the new one with the same SMTP address. If you get an error that the address is already in use, then you have to wait until the GC flushes the old address.... What about the info within. I tried deleting one of the DL and got the
message with the following check box "Mark each selected Exchange mailbox for deletion". Is it just talking about the mailbox (DL) that I'm currently deleting??
