Can I delete .log files?Exchange server 2003 SP1 on W2K3.
Found in the following location: C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\<Server_Name>.log are a huge amout of files in the format: <date>.log which are 'Message Tracking' log files. My question is: Can I delete these fils without damaging Exchange? I understand I would loose tracking capabilities afterwards. TIA Regards You can go to server's Properties | General | check "Remove log files" and
enter number of days you want to preserve log files for. Files older than that number of days will be removed by SA. -- Show quoteBharat Suneja MCSE, MCT www.zenprise.com blog: www.suneja.com/blog ----------------------------------- "SteveB" <stevebu***@hotmail.co.uk> wrote in message news:438d7a98$1@news.star.co.uk... > Exchange server 2003 SP1 on W2K3. > > Found in the following location: C:\Program > Files\Exchsrvr\<Server_Name>.log > > are a huge amout of files in the format: <date>.log which are 'Message > Tracking' log files. > My question is: Can I delete these fils without damaging Exchange? > I understand I would loose tracking capabilities afterwards. > TIA > Regards > > > |
