Backing Up Exchange 5.5 errors

I am a having a error backing up the exchange mailboxes using Veritas 10d, it
I can backup anything on the exchange server except the users mailboxes
themself. It fails with communication errors at all diffent points.

Are you doing brick level backups?

No not yet, we had just discussed doing this morning. We have been trying
this for weeks in order to reduce the restoral times after crashes.

I'm sure that if you posted the error numbers or any events into
either here, or more likely the Veritas website support forums you may
well get more help. You're really a little light on detail to be well
advised here.

Under your support agreement are you able to discuss directly with Veritas?
Until the problem is solved NTBackup may be an option.
