As the message says it couldn't connect to the SMTP system. Have you tried
this manually or did you run SMTPDiag again. I just connected to
mail.chiadvertising.com without a problem.

Thanks for your response.

The strange thing is that some users can send fine and others cant.
The users that seem to be experiencing these problems tend to be using
Entourage on Mac's.  When I look in "Message Tracking Centre" in
Exchange system manager it looks as though they have sent each message
6 times.  This also happens when they send an internal meeting request
as you receive it 6 times.

I hope this gives you more info.

Many thanks again

Can you confirm how DNS is setup up on your Exchange server. Also, how are
you routing email within and from Exchange?

On the Exchange server the Primary DNS server is the server on our
Network (192.168.x.x) and the secondary is a DNS server of our ISP.
There are no external DNS servers configured on the SMTP server as I
used to have them in but we still had the same problem.

>From our Exchange there is a smart host which sends all our email out
to messagelabs first.

Thanks again
