Sending on behalf of a distribution group??Is it possible to do this?
We've created a distribution group with an smtp email address that's essentially edit***@domain.com. I'd like to have one user respond as edit***@domain.com, but keep his existing email (He's part of the distribution list.) BUT I don't want him to worry about using the "From" field and filling it in every time. No one ever remembers to do this. So I'd like the user to respond to all edit***@domain.com emails as edit***@domain.com, but still be able to respond to his emails as himself and not worry about switching. Is there an easy way to do this in Exchange/Outlook? We're using Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003. Thanks for any help. a user will always automatically respond with his primary e-mail address which you can check in his/her AD account properties. There is no way to not have him do this manually. But it is easy to get him the permission to so: Just open the group permissions in AD, switch to the security tab, add the user and give him/her "send as" permission HTH, Daniel Show quote "Ron" wrote: > Is it possible to do this? > > We've created a distribution group with an smtp email address that's > essentially edit***@domain.com.
