[fake from] behind email subjectI have a strange thing behind my email subject.
It looks like this , subject: <subject> [fake from] the fake from is what my question is about, can anyone tell me what this is all about,..??? I am running exchange 2003 in a native enviroment, clients use outlook 2003 All the comments are very welcome TIA exchange rules Is this on messages sent from your internal users? Or external senders?
This sounds like some type of SMTP gateway or message hygiene system (not Exchange) that might be inspecting messages for Sender Id records. Do you have an SMTP relay or are you using a managed provider to inspect inbound e-mail? -- Show quoteJim McBee Blog: http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com Free eBook: http://nexus.realtimepublishers.com/ttgsm.htm "Exchange 2003 connection problem" <Exchange2003connectionprob***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:368499FC-C237-49D9-A808-FDDFDA928D92@microsoft.com... >I have a strange thing behind my email subject. > It looks like this , > subject: <subject> [fake from] the fake from is what my question is about, > can anyone tell me what this is all about,..??? > I am running exchange 2003 in a native enviroment, clients use outlook > 2003 > All the comments are very welcome > > TIA > > exchange rules > Yes this is from my internal users, and yes I do have an incoming smtp relay
