Missing Emails

I had set up exchange to send all emails to a particular email address to a
certail user. Unfortunatley, I managed to do this wrong and set it up to
accept the equivalent of j**@microsoft.com rather than job@microsoft.local

When an email came in for j**@microsoft.com exchange picked it up OK and
then automatically tried to deliver it to job@microsoft.local This didnt
exist and therefore it has hidden all these emails somewhere (or possibly
just deleted them).

Unfortunately, these emails are quite important and I could do to see them
if possible.

Does anybody know if they will exist anywhere, or do you think exchange has
just deleted them to punish me for being so stupid?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
