MAPIRPC failed to load

I am getting an error in our Application log and have been unable to work out
what I need to do to fix it. The error is:

Event Type:    Error
Event Source:    MSExchangeIS
Event Category:    General
Event ID:    1194
Description:
Accept clients on external interface MAPIRPC failed with error 0x4b1.

We are having trouble with a couple of our clients and I believe this is the
cause and would like to correct it as soon as possible. Any idea what the
problem might be?
