windows 2000 repair, outllok unable to connect to exchange server

i have repaired a windows 2000 installation aftere replacing the
motherboard everything work except the outlook 2003 canot connect to
the exchange server. if anyone has had this problem befor your help
would be much apreciated.

Can you ping the Exchange Server by FQDN?  What error are you receiving?

i can ping the srever no problems the error is when creating the mail
account in outlook or through the control panel, windows says the
connection to the server cannot be made outlook has to be online to do
this

Any other third party software such Symantec or Trend Micro Firewall client
on the computer.  Check to insure these are not blocking the rpc traffic
needed or outlook to run properly.  Can your run Outlook Web Access on this
computer successfully?
