Deleted ItemsHi All,
Does anyone know how to restore deleted items through exchange or where they are put when the setting is "keep deleted items for 30 days"? One user who has left "shift" deleted most of his mail from his exchange mailbox, and I need to get it back! TIA Mark In news:rHH8g.18082$mX1.7991@newsfe2-gui.ntli.net, Mark Griffiths <mark.griffiths***@ntlworld.com> typed:> Hi All, You need to add the DumpsterAlwaysOn registry hack ....> Does anyone know how to restore deleted items through exchange or > where they are put when the setting is "keep deleted items for 30 > days"? > One user who has left "shift" deleted most of his mail from his > exchange mailbox, and I need to get it back! > > TIA > Mark http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=886205 Then you should be able to use Recover Deleted Items. If he was really clever, though, he removed the items from the Recover Deleted Items window as well - in which case, you will need to go to your backups for this data. Thanks Lanwench, once again you cracked it!
Although the article says that after adding the registry entry you can only recover deleted items from that point, I was able to get everything that was deleted last monday and items before that and I've only just put the DumpsterAlwaysOn in! How cool! Cheers and Best Regards Mark N.B. do you have a real name?
