Problem setting up Query-based Distribution GroupsHello All!
Out company maintains an Exchange 2003 SP1 server and we have serveral security groups matching departments names . I would like to setup internal email distribution lists to be dynamic using Query-based. I have tried to setup this serveral times however the queries never return any of the criteria I ask for. For example: Security Group = Accounting Start QBDG wizrd and choose custom> Custom Filter> Cutomize>Find Users>Advanced> Field = "members" Condition = Is Value =Accounting then Find Now, nothing returns and I know there are members of the Accoutning group. What am I doing wrong? TIA! You're using the wrong attribute - look for memberOf attribute =
distinguishedName of the Accounting group. -- Show quoteBharat Suneja MVP - Exchange www.zenprise.com NEW blog location: www.exchangepedia.com/blog ---------------------------------------------- "ntenspy" <nten***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F2CDD368-0F40-4F8D-852E-7D8F39F6239D@microsoft.com... > Hello All! > > Out company maintains an Exchange 2003 SP1 server and we have serveral > security groups matching departments names . I appreciate the response however, I am still unsuccessful with the LDAP

Here is more information- Global/Security Group - Accounting (5 members) Going through the QBDG wizard here is what I'm inputing: Name/Alias - Accounting Apply Filter to recieptients in and below: DOMAIN.loc/ Filter: (Customized) Find: Exchange Recipients In: Entire Domain TABS- General: "Users with Exchange mailbox" checked Storage: "Mailboxes on any server" Advanced: Field: User > Member of... Condition: Is (Exactly)... Value: Accounting Find Now - Returns nothing This and the previous way I queried failed to return anything. Any ideas? TIA!
