Exchange ActiveSync on a Single ServerIs there somewhere a practical documentation on how to implement Exchange
ActiveSync on a single Exchange 2003 SP2 Server? I want to have the SSL feature enabled ; my devices (handheld HP PocketPC, Qtek 9100, Qtek S200) are running Windows Mobile 5.0. I have found some info, but in many cases on FE and BE infracstructure, and also more specific on Windows PocketPC 2002 or Windows PocketPC 2003. Help appreciated Nicolas I like msexchange.org articles,

Nokia's support site should have instructions on how to do this, or you could call thier support center and get instructions. -- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP MS Exchange FAQ at http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Don't send mail to this address mailto:h.p***@getronics.com Or to these, either: mailto:h.p***@pinkroccade.com mailto:melvin.mcphucknuc***@getronics.com mailto:melvin.mcphucknuc***@pinkroccade.com Hi,
You need to bluetooth it over or do what I did and stick it on a website and use the browser to load it. I had to use the file type .crt otherwise it would not work. Nokia's info on how to set this all up is not very good. All they save is SAVE it!! But HOW? Even with the certificate on my E61I still can not sync to the server but my Windows Mobile PDA can!!! Hope this helps. Dave... adale wrote: Show quote > Yes, I have a similar problem. How do I install the .cert file on a > Symbian mobile Phone (Nokia E61)? The default Exchange 2003 installation (and
upgrade to SP2) allows for Exchange ActiveSync out-of-the-box. It should just be the case of generating your own certificate (or purchasing one), distributing to the Windows Mobile devices and creating the partnership (either by connecting to ActiveSync on a PC or by changing the ActiveSync configuration on your Pocket PC). -- Show quoteMauricio Freitas www.geekzone.co.nz, www.geekzone.co.nz/freitasm, www.geekzone.co.nz/geekzoneblog.asp Software for Pocket PC: www.geekzone.co.nz/store Microsoft MVP Mobile Devices "Nicolas Macarez" <maca***@free.fr> wrote in message news:OTdcidTeGHA.564@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Is there somewhere a practical documentation on how to implement Exchange > ActiveSync on a single Exchange 2003 SP2 Server? > I want to have the SSL feature enabled ; my devices (handheld HP PocketPC, > Qtek 9100, Qtek S200) are running Windows Mobile 5.0. > > I have found some info, but in many cases on FE and BE infracstructure, > and > also more specific on Windows PocketPC 2002 or Windows PocketPC 2003. > > Help appreciated > > Nicolas > > > Thanks to you all.
Do I really need to generate MY own certificate or purchase one? Is it possible to use the already installed built-in certificate (Verisign e.g.) on the server and on the device?
