Thanks in advance for the help! -- IT Support Engineer In news:04C081E8-9D02-49D6-AC4F-5A978B8C6983@microsoft.com, PhenomT <Phe***@discussions.microsoft.com> typed:> Hi everybody! You don't need any Internet connectivity at all to run Exchange, really. You might want to do some reading on AD/DNS - get a couple of basic books on the topic, even. Note that it would be best to have Exchange on a member server, but if this is a test/lab environment it won't be a problem (and you can certainly run Exchange on a DC in the 'real world' although it isn't recommended practice). If you're setting up a server for real/production use, a) do some practice/throwaway installs first, and consider using virtual machines for testing and b) you might look into SBS which makes things a lot easier for the inexperienced, via its plethora of wizards Some good websites: www.msexchange.org http://swinc.com/resources/exchange/ |
