Hi,
I have just upgraded my NT4 domain to Server 03 standard and am running in
mixed interim mode with users still accessing a 5.5 server on a NT4 BDC.  I
have purchased a server to install Exchange 03 and need to move the 5.5
mailboxes and public folders over. I want to completely get rid of the NT4
5.5 machine.  Does anyone have any suggestions or direction for me?  I have
only one domain that was called xyz and is now called xyz.local for DNS and
Active Directory.

Thank you so much for any help, I am pretty nervous about this.

Bring the server on stream and then do all the moves & removal of
public folder replica's from the box. As your final step use:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=822450&product=exch2003
to remove the last Exchange 5.5 server

Thank you Mark.  I really appreciate the response.

Since I have already added all the user accounts to AD via the NT4 upgrade,
do I skip the account and group migration process and go straight to the ACL
migration and active directory connector to move the mailboxes?  I would like
to use both 5.5 and 03 at the same time during the move day.  Also, will I be
"moving" or "Copying" the mailboxes?

Thanks!
