migrate exchange 5.5 to 2003Hi all. I am currently testing the migration of exchange 5.5 installed on
nt4.0 domain controller to exchange 2003 installed on win2003 on a separate machine. I followed the documentation provided by microsoft. On my new machine i installed it as nt4.0 BDC. I then synchronise with my pdc and then upgrade the BDC to PDC. I then installed windows 2003. All user accounts could be found in my 2003 active directory. I also run ADC, forestprep and domain prep and finally install excahnge 2003. On my exchange administrator windows i could see the mail boxes existing on my nt4.0 machine. However i could not move them when i select them right click and choose "exchange tasks", there is no task for me to choose at all. How can i move my mailboxes. May i know what might have went wrong? Thks in advance. Hi,
Did you create an ADC connection agreement and did this CA replicate? If you look at the user properties in active directory users and computers can you see email adrresses and mailbox location? Thks for your reply. I think its most likely something to do with my connection agreement in my ADC. Currently there is only 1 CA in my ADC. Can i know how can i delete it? I don't seem to be able to delete it. You should not delete the CA if you have only one. This is the CA created automatically by the installation program. You should however have at least 2 more , 1 user CA per 5.5 site and one public folder CA per site. These can be created manually but you will need to read about this before attempting in order not to corrupt things in your environment.
