updates not saving

We are havnig MAJOR problems with exchange 2003.

When we update and save contacts in the public folders and we go back a few
days later, the updates have not been saved.

This is a big issue for us and would like an solution to this, as we have
had a number of people asking to be removed from their database, which we
have done and they are back in place.

How many Exchange servers do you have, and where are the PFs being
replicated? If you have only the one server, do users perhaps have the PF
set up in their favorites, and set to include PF favorites in the offline
folders cache?
