Import pst's to new Exchange 2003 box

Hi there-
Need a quick hand. I'm moving from standalone POP clients running Outlook to
Exchange 2003 (with Outlook 2003). We've been on standalone for some time,
and I have about 30 clients. Some mailboxes are in the 1GB size, and since
they're attorneys, they can't delete things. But that's another story.

I want to put in Exchange 2003. How can I get the contents of their pst
files into the appropriate mailboxes? I've standardized the location of the
psts (they're all in an identically named folder off the user's home
directory, on one server), but I need to get all the pst's into the
appropriate Exchange mailbox.

I've read about using Exmerge, but it's not clear how I will use it, given
that the mailboxes are not in an Exchange server already. Also, I'm hoping
for some automation tips, as manually running 30+ mailbox imports doesn't
sound like fun, even if I could find out how...

I could really use a hand.  I'd hoped to get this project completed in the
next two weeks, but I'm at a bit of a stall out point, I don't want to bring
the exchange box up until I'm SURE that I can get the existing pst's imported
without loss of data.

Thanks for your help-
Taj

as far as I remember you can run an Import from Outlook. Yep, just go to
File->Import and Export and pick "Import from another program or file" and
you should be good to go.
No batch importing into Exchange directly I guess

Exmerge will do what you want. Just copy the PST files to a central location
on the network and name them to match the alias name of the mailbox you've
created - as in, jbloggs.pst. If you've set quotas on the mail stores, be
very careful.

Thanks for that - I wasn't sure whether it would be capable of just importing
raw .pst's, and I couldn't find any references to such an action.
Thanks for all your help!
