Emails to Hotmail.com and MSN.com accounts delayed...I'm running a fresh iinstall of SBS2003 server with Exchange and for some
reason, still unknown, emails to Hotmail.com and MSN.com accounts show up in the que and eventually kick back a "delayed" email to the sender. All other domain accounts send out fine with no issues. Is there a resolution to this? Maybe an issue with the ISP or Hosting provider? Fuel451 <Fuel***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote:

Internet mail to your ISP's SMTP server as a smarthost (since you're on SBS, re-run the CEICW to enable that). If not, does your static public IP have a PTR? Sorry, the issue happens when any domain users sends an email to any
Hotmail.com or MSN.com account. The server is behind a firewall connected to a T1 line. You need a PTR, so if you don't have one, call your ISP (the ones who provide your T1, not your hosting company) and tell them you need a PTR/reverse lookup for your public IP. If you do have one, there are other things to look at.
