Need to restore previous copy of exchange database after system crI have just had to rebuild a SBS2003 Server after the server crashed - the
problem is I only have the database files in there original file format. Pub1.edb and Priv1.edb How can I replace the current empty exchange databases with the new ones? If you named the server the same and installed the same version of Exchange,
and you restored Active Directory, then you can stop the Information Store service, replace the Priv1.edb, Priv1.stm, and Pub1.edb files with the old versions, move all the log and chk files to another folder. Then you should be able to restart the Information Store service. -- Show quoteEd Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!"
