Problems downloading mail using pop3Hi All,
I am having an occasional problem with downloading my emails into outlook 2003 from Exchange server 2003 through the use of pop3. A email would be downloaded into my inbox serveral times and would hold up the rest of the queue until i delete that particular email from the server. Does anyone have any idea what causes this and if there are any solutions to this problem? Why are you using POP to retrieve mail from an Exchange server with Outlook?
That's such a primitive featureless protocol. I use Outlook 2003 with POP, but to connect to my ISP, which offers only POP, and I've seen the same thing from time to time. I think that the answer is that Outlook isn't a real good POP client. -- Show quoteEd Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!" the "Server timeouts" to the maximum, 10 minutes. See if that might help. -- Show quoteEd Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!"
