How to recover a deleted mailbox?

Hey all,

We are running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 in a Windows 2003 domain.
Yesterday I deleted a user in AD along with his mailbox.  This was an
accident and now I need to recover the mailbox.  Can someone tell me the
best way to do that?  I can see the mailbox in ESM, it has a red "x" on it
and if I right click on it I get a "reconnect" option.  However, the AD
acct. is gone.

What's my next step?

--

TIA,

Clayton

P.S.:  I wrote an iTunes podcast tutorial and just want to publicize it.

create a new AD account, with the same name (if you wish - not absolutely
necessary), and "reconnect" the mailbox to that account...

Hi Clayton,

Use Quest.com restorefromAD tool if delete action has-been done within
tombstone period. this will bring back your deleted user account same SID,
then use ESM to reconnect

all the best
