Standby Backup Server?Hope I am in the right group for this ...
We are currently running a W2003 Ent 64 server with Exchange 2007. It is currently the only server in our small company. I am considering to set up a smaller machine that can take over when the primary fails. Not a problem as far as files, printers etc are concerned, I can set it up as a second domain server and, if necessary, just rename it to bring it online for the users. However, I am not sure I can do the same with Exchange. Is there a way I can have kind of a replicated copy of Exchange, including mailboxes etc. running on this backup server and, if the main machine fails, bring it online with the name of the main server? Thanks, Gerd Very doable with Exchange 2007 and SCR which is due out later this year as a
part of Exchange 2007 SP1. http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/02/23/435699.aspx -- Show quoteJohn Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2007 Microsoft Certified Partner "Gerhard K.
