Help Needed - Exchange / or Outlook ProblemWe have done a AD and Exchange migration for one of the regions, +- 3 months after that, all of a sudden, clients open there outlook client, and then hangs, then they need to cancel server request and then select connect to the Microsoft Exchange server, only then it will connect to the Exchange server (Exchange server in the same site and all LAN users). For some users, after a couple hours, the same thing happens, outlook hangs and they need to cancel server request and then select connect to the Microsoft Exchange server, this goes on, and on, and on… We did try to do the following but didn’t work: 1) Extract MAILBOX1 into a .PST file. Copy your USER1 (owning MAILBOX1) account to USER2 account without a mailbox. Delete the USER1 account (profile was copied to laptop / desktop) plus the MAILBOX1. Copy the USER2 account to USER1 account, create a mailbox for USER2 (MAILBOX2), import the .PST file into the mailbox. Same problem 2) Offline defrag of the Exchange databases. The users that are experiencing the problems. Same problem Any idée’s or suggestions? Thanks in advance. What version of Exchange? Have you run NETDIAG and DCDIAG? Any network
issues? Have you run ExBPA lately? Anything in the Event Viewer App log on the Exchange Server? -- Show quoteJohn Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2008 Microsoft Certified Partner "Hens" <H***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:CB9A8FA7-804E-4A2C-94C8-9E735DCFBC94@microsoft.com... > Hi All > We have done a AD and Exchange migration for one of the regions, +- 3 > months > after that, all of a sudden, clients open there outlook client, and then > hangs, then they need to cancel server request and then select connect to > the > Microsoft Exchange server, only then it will connect to the Exchange > server > (Exchange server in the same site and all LAN users).
