Hey everyone,

We are running Exchange 2003 w/sp 2 in a windows 2003 domain.  Out mx record
point to it at @mycompany.com.  Now we have a new list server with it's own
mx record (lists***@list.mycompany.com).  We are using L-Soft 15.0 for our
list server.

Is there a way to have ALL emails for both mx's come into Exchange and have
Exchange forward all emails for the list.mycompany.com domain over to the
list server?

TIA,

Clayton

P.S.:  I wrote an iTunes podcast tutorial and just want to publicize it.

Sure,

Ensure MX direct mail for list.mycompany.com to your Exchange FE/recieving
server
Ensure you add the domain to your recipient policies as non-authoritative
Add a SMTP connector with the address space of 'list.mycompany.com' (ensure
you remove *) and ensure your configure it to deliver to a smarthost which
will be your L-Soft Server.
Ensure 'allow relay to these domains' is checked, again ensure you have
removed *, otherwise you will now be open relay)
Ensure the Bridgehead server for this connector is the SMTP VS(s) that
recieves mail from the Internet, otherwise it won't work.

Ensure you don't assign any  list.mycompany.com SMTP addresses to any
objects in the directory, otherwise Exchange will try and deliver to these
addresses locally rather than forwarding to your list server.

Sorry if this looks rushed, i'm just off out!

Oliver
