importing pop mail into exchange mailbox

my boss has a desktop and a laptop that both syncronize with his exchange
mailbox; he also has an additional pop account in another domain configured
in both outlook clients.

Is there a limit on the number of machines that can syncronize with a single
mailbox?

he is experiencing the following issue: if the desktop downloads the POP
mail it is not always imported in the server mailbox so it does not appear on
the laptop...

Hmmm. If he is using MAPI/RPC over HTTP to check the mailbox directly,
anything downloaded via POP3 into the mailbox on one workstation should
ensure that the same items are visible in the mailbox on  all other
workstations, once he syncs (presuming he's using cached mode). Make sure he
doesn't have any PST files in use.
