SMTP Relay to PreventHi!
I have a W2K3 server with Exchange Server 2003 SP2 installed. I want to prevent external users, known or unknown, to use my server as an SMTP Relay. In fact, I have noticed that I can successfully send messages from any outside Outlook client by configuring an e-mail account with mail.mydomain.com in the SMTP field and authentication with a known user account and password from the NT domain. How can I prevent that? Help appreciated. Nicolas Hi,,
On the properties of the smtp virtuel server, access tab, relay button is as standard authenticated users allowed to relay. If you remove this check - it should no longer be possible.
