Simple question about MX recordsHello,
I have just set up Exchange Server 2003 and all the email I sent to external mail account it comes to spam folder. I have not asked my internet provider set up MX record for my server maybe this is the problem why all the email goes to spam folder. Thanks Donatas Grasys <d**@yahoo.com> wrote:

How are you receiving mail if you don't have an MX record? You should have one. See http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF002.html for some help. At the moment we are using FT Gates sowtware to send and recieve email for our domain, and it is configured to send and recieve email throught our ISP servers, but know I've setup exchange server mercury.mydomain.com. I know that I will not be able to recieve email untill I will get MX records sorted out for our new server, but I do not understad why all the messages I sent going into spam folder into yahoo or hotmail accounts. If I sent email from using FT gates account t***@mydomain.com it goes OK, but if I send email test@mydomain .com from the exchange server account it goes to spam folder. Thanks in advance Show quote "Donatas Grasys" <d**@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:fgfcsl$b19$1$830fa7a5@news.demon.co.uk... > Hello, > > I have just set up Exchange Server 2003 and all the email I sent to > external mail account it comes to spam folder. > I have not asked my internet provider set up MX record for my server maybe > this is the problem why all the email goes to spam folder. > > Thanks > |
