MX record changesHello
I would like to ask you guys. If I want to change MX records of my domain to be pointing to external ip address. Is it enought to tell ISP provider my domain name (mydomain.com) and IP address or I have to tell them what is my internal exchange server name (mercury.mydomain.com). Mercury is our internal exchange server name. Could you make it clear for me. Thanks On Mon, 5 Nov 2007 13:00:57 -0000, "Donatas Grasys" <d**@yahoo.com> You don't change the MX record.wrote: >Hello > >I would like to ask you guys. You do not have to tell your ISP anything about your internal names. Internal (NetBIOS or AD FQDN) names are irrelevant externally. They can be the same, if you want, but they don't have to be.
